About Billionaire MAX
Aim to become a billionaire. Online investment battles for up to 4 players.
Billionaire MAX is an online competitive stock investment board game for up to 4 players. Trade shares of 21 fictional companies, navigate world-shaking events, and build your fortune at top speed.
Now, your investment judgment will be put to the test.
A strategy game where you read prices and the market
Choose from 3 investment categories — corporate stocks, venture stocks, and commodities (gold, crude oil, real estate) — and reshape your portfolio while responding to over 50 types of event cards. Buy and sell timing, diversification across 6 sectors versus concentration, long-term holds versus short-term trades — every move decides victory or defeat.
Online play: random matches up to 3 players, password matches up to 4 players
With Steam random matchmaking, jump into instant battles with up to 3 players from around the world. Password-protected private matches support up to 4 players — perfect for gathering with friends and playing at your own pace.
Players holding the same stocks find their fates intertwined. When one player runs away with the lead, everyone else silently bands together to take them down. No one says "let's team up." And yet, the board itself draws the lines between allies and enemies. A different drama unfolds every time.
Strategic elements that decide victory
The objective: collect trophies faster than anyone else. Trophies are bought with cash, and the player who reaches the required threshold wins. But the moment you turn cash into a trophy, it stops growing. "Just a little more profit first" — that one delayed move can be fatal. Only those willing to abandon profits can stand at the top.
- Special Dividends: Hold a certain number of shares in specific large corporations to earn extra dividends on top of regular payouts.
- Venture Investment: No dividends, but unlimited price upside. Trade bankruptcy risk for explosive returns.
- Short Selling: Read the fall in stock prices and profit from market collapse. A contrarian investor's trump card that can flip the entire game in one move.
- Bonus Trophies: Meet one of three special conditions — Conglomerate, Venture Capital, or Commodity — to claim an extra trophy on a first-come, first-served basis. A path to dramatic comebacks.
Over 50 events that shake the world economy
Great Depression, Oil Crisis, Pandemic, AI Boom, New NISA, World War III — over 50 event cards inspired by real economic history and current affairs move the market every turn. Read the wave correctly and you profit big; read it wrong and you go bankrupt. The fight is never over until the very last move.
Only those who never give up become billionaires
Even if you fall behind early, even if your assets are halved mid-game, the chance for a comeback exists until the moment the game ends. Bonus trophies, event-driven short sells, all-in major shareholder strategies — the cards to flip the game are always in your hand. Defeat starts the moment you give up.
Serious CPU battles
Features 4 difficulty levels of CPU opponents (EASY / NORMAL / HARD / EXTREME). EXTREME requires genuine strategy to defeat, delivering a complete game experience even in solo play. Whether you're warming up for online matches or honing your strategy alone, the CPU mode delivers.
15 achievements
Billionaire, Oil Tycoon, Real Estate Magnate, Diversified Investor, Concentrated Investor, Contrarian — 15 achievements tailored to playstyles encourage you to pursue different paths to victory. Which kind of investor will you stand at the top as?
4-language support
Full support for Japanese, English, Simplified Chinese, and Korean. Sit at the same table as players from around the world.
The deep strategic core of board games meets the tempo and presentation only digital can deliver. A new era of investment gaming.
Now, shake the world economy with your own hands.

A Perfect game for board games lovers! This title shares a lot of similarities with board games like "settlers of catan" with a interesting range of events and and strategies to win. Actual gameplay is very streamlined and easy to understand even if stocks aren't your thing (there not mine) and I was able to pick it up quickly without prior knowledge I haven't really been able to try the online matchmaking due to lack of players, but from what I've experienced from having my friends play customs, this game has a lot of potential especially with over 50 event cards and games that last between 10 mins to 30 mins (if you really stretch it) AI CPUs are actually capable even on normal they play realistically and make genuine mistakes and risk when trading Give this game a try if you enjoy strategy in your tabletops and card games1 found this helpful
Will edit review in updates:

Release;
Very simple, played with a mate and we picked it up through our first session together without the tutorial. Really needs an update with Options in pre game lobby to change game settings:

Add option to disble trophy win condition (good for quick matches but not fun for casual with friends).
Game doesn't launch in local language (easy to change though > gear icon > your language.
Hosting / Joining is confusing? i think password is the lobby id too? correct me if i am wrong.
The player stats page could possibly be organised better for what we are trying to keep track of (in later updates after other issues are addressed).
Add option to remove Long limits on stocks as we should be able to dump in to venture to risk it all. (this also Coincides with my next point).
Change the extra bonus trophies to something else or make it toggle with trophy win condition; [olist]
Never will you get 20/20 for big cap as it takes nothing for someone to own 1 of everything.
Venture is the same.
It's just a race for who can buy all commodoties ASAP.[/olist]

…
