hope u like forums cause plenty these quests are gunna require u to constantly go to them as A some quests tell u to go collect materials but dotn actualy tell u what materials u need anytime except the one time in npc dialog B there is NO way to tell were u got soem tehse quests if u arnt paying attention as there is nothing liek map markers indicating go here to finish quest . small stuff like this can ruin a game expeience for what seems like should be a nice relaxing time killer otherwise

Not recommended for purchase unless discounted by at least 40% or more The concept is interesting, I always like to play this kind of games but the implementation and execution of this particular one is.. hmm. UI glitches and lack of QoL mechanics for easy gameplay are a few noticeable issues in this game, Id say its still rough around the edges even if its already released as a full game. After it's full release there a no new updates even if its just bug updates for over a year now. Discussions of this game here in Steam or in Discord seems to have long ceased including feedback or bug reports, it makes me think that the developers and players had an agreement to abandon this altogether. Im not sure if this game is niche or not but its very quiet, for a game that still feels incomplete like this is definitely a yellow flag at most, but its kind of expected looking at the publisher.

The game is full of grammar errors, to the point that there's bits of it that make absolutely no sense. There's also at least some of the main quest in Chinese. It wasn't running great, either. I can run the newest Monster Hunter on ultra perfectly fine, but this game was stuttering with every movement. The character creation is cute though, I'll give it that.

Border Town presents a charming mixture of open-world exploration, farming, crafting, settlement restoration, and fantasy RPG adventuring, bringing these elements together around the simple but effective goal of restoring a community destroyed by an orc invasion. Developed by GoHoGames and published by 2P Games, it gives players considerable freedom in deciding how they want to approach progression. Rather than pushing constantly toward combat or story objectives, it allows quieter activities such as farming and construction to exist alongside monster hunting and exploration. The restoration of the ruined settlement provides the game with a strong central purpose. After arriving near the devastated town, the player gradually becomes involved in bringing its scattered population back together. Building relationships with villagers eventually allows some of them to participate in reconstruction. Their different professions, including farming, mining, and lumber work, make recruiting people more meaningful than simply increasing the town's population. While I'm leaning towards a thumbs up on this one, I'm a bit torn. I love a lot of aspects of it -- the art, building a town, recruiting people to come there... but it just started to get repetitive. Managing your stamina and food gets a bit old. I think, at some level, it boils down to the day feels like it goes by too quickly, and there's no way to speed that up without being tired. (at least not that I'm aware of) What I mean by that is that you can not "just sleep" to pass the night away, sleep is really only to restore your stamina and health. Tools feel like they wear down too quickly for my tastes. There's a lot of quality of life things missing here and there. For example, you can not claim a bed for yourself, so you can't really establish a home "for yourself". Most folk tend to just use the second bed in their uncle's house as their main bed as far as I can tell. Your villagers do some good work for you, and somehow are both cute and awesome, and also frustrating at the same time. On the flipside, I did enjoy time playing this and the world is large and I keep running across new stuff. I guess the best I can say is -- give it a shot, it's neat but it's not for…

The game is good and all but the resource gathering is all off, like only getting 3 wood per tree but you need 2 wood to make a coal and 4 coal to make a torch the balance is all off, but that's just me
