Captain Bones: Prologue

Interesting concept, but the game is really rough. I can see how a narrative based pirate game may be appealing, although with all the pirate games out there, it is really hard to compete unless you release something really outstanding. The graphics is simplistic and sounds are pretty good but volume is blown off. Interactions are really clunky and combat is really not even functional unless you get close to someone and just parry and attack all the time. It has nice water and overall it is stylish but at least from what you see in the demo, there is not much really that could encourage someone to buy the full game, unless almost every aspects of the game are improved. Good attempt from a solo developer; it is a good accomplishment; but rating a product based on what it offers, sadly it is not even getting close to be viable I am afraid. Keep an eye on how the game evolves; it may improve considerably; but as is now it is a "wait and see"

I wish the demo gave you a sloop or anything bigger than a raft to try ship combat. From what I played in the demo though I wasn't really liking combat, stealth or the wanted system. They were all overly simplistic which I get for a game like this but with the demo being so selective with what it showed so I can only assume these were the things it was trying to show off?
