Ten minutes in and I was done. Not nearly as visually appealing as the store page led me to believe, the soundtrack was horrendous, and every aspect of it felt repetitive.
The best game for those who seek a real pirate or sailor life during the age of sails (18th century). The gameplay and mechanic is more realistic compared to other similar game, such as the sails that react with the winds. The game offers many types of real sail vessel and customization. The color for other nations' vessel also similar to real life version, which increase the reality. There are many thing can be done in this game apart from the main story quest, such as mentioned below. 1. Open world exploration. Even without buying the map, but the game allow entering the area not yet covered in the map with the open world mode, e.g., visiting Brazil and its port at the early game. 2. Many side quest, from eliminating pirates, rescuing other ship from pirates, escorting ship, transport people, smuggling, take over slave ship, and many more. 3. Managing port, to gain additional money each week. 4. Searching for ship wreck, to get its blueprint which can be used later to build the type of the ship in our own ports. 5. Searching treasure in treasure island with the treasure map. 6. Hijacking other nation ship. 7. Joining nation as privateer with letter of marque.
it's okay, need achievements for me to have incentive to continue playing
I don't have much playtime yet, but I can honestly say that this game ♥♥♥♥♥♥ rocks. Its like playing a simulator version of sea of thieves, and it really makes you feel like a captain. its a super small game, its free, easy to run, simple, but with a fun learning curve that can just as easily frustrate you as it can delight you. definitely gonna keep playing this one.
In this digital Caribbean, you're the anonymous captain of a small ship. You've got to rely on your team's spirit and optimism to navigate the waters. The cool thing about the game is that you don't need a degree from a nautical school or any fancy math skills to predict the wind patterns. You just need to turn the wheel and catch the virtual wind in your sails. If you're lucky, your little ship will sail right past the big ships without them noticing
