Warning: This game can be very challenging to some players. If you are not confident with the ability to stay calm and persevere in the scariest of situations, you may find this game frustrating.
There are both first and third-person perspectives, allowing you to play the game as you see fit.
Depending on your play style, you can expect to spend about 2 to 4 hours playing.
Immersive experience: Atmospheric graphics add to the terror.
Save system: You can save the game using a payphone.
VHS film aesthetics: VHS effects can be turned off in the options menu; VHS aesthetics include phosphor screen trails and bleeding of the analog video signal, VHS tape noise, interlacing, and jittering CRT that add further immersion to the horror experience. It emulates the look and feels of a screen.

I wouldnt recommend this game to anyone. Its full of bugs and the mechanics dont work properly. Its pretty weird to charge 5€ for such an unfinished product. But even if it was free, it wouldnt be a good game, but it would be more reasonable that its broken, since it isnt sold. I dont want to hate unnecessarily, because i like Chillas Arts and some games are really good. Still, this game is really bad and not nearly worth its price
Very good game, I liked the story a lot and finding the stickers is a great addition! Rating: 9.3/10 (Scary game and good story would recommend!)
The Night Way Home is a psychological survival horror game developed and published by Chilla’s Art, the Japanese independent studio known for creating unsettling horror experiences inspired by urban legends, emotional tension, and environmental storytelling. While many of the developer’s previous titles leaned heavily into exploration and slow-building suspense, The Night Way Home introduces a stronger survival component without abandoning the atmospheric horror style that defines the studio’s work. The result is a tense and unsettling experience that combines psychological discomfort with moments of genuine danger, creating one of Chilla’s Art’s more demanding horror releases. The story centers on Rina, a middle school student whose ordinary day begins changing after rumors spread regarding a missing student from another nearby school. Conversations among classmates create uncertainty surrounding the disappearance. Various theories circulate, but nobody knows the truth. As the day progresses and Rina begins making her way home, ordinary surroundings slowly become unfamiliar. What starts as a routine walk transforms into something deeply disturbing as reality itself begins to shif…
One of the more enjoyable Chilla games. Still a walking sim, but at least there are different environments this time. Oh, and the enemy sound is incredible. Its more of a reward hearing that than walking around for an hour.
A heartwarming story about the mending relationship of a child and her mother and also getting flashbanged every 3 seconds.
