I picked up The Way Home for a SignalVoid Archives case file, and it turned out to be a solid little slow-burn horror experience. Its rural Korean setting gives it a distinct atmosphere, and the strongest moments come from the environment, distant figures, and the feeling that you may not be alone. It does not rely on constant jump scares, so players looking for nonstop action may find the pacing quiet, but the tension builds effectively when you let yourself settle into it. It is brief and fairly simple, but the setting and a few memorable encounters stayed with me afterward. Worth playing if you enjoy grounded psychological horror and games that make you question what you are hearing in the background.1 found this helpful
I Enjoyed The Entire Game! Good Stuff! I Got Both Endings. My Gameplay: https://youtu.be/cxkSvrwjcEM1 found this helpful
Without giving away the actual endings, I will say that if you don't like the ending you get,
simply restart on the last night and contact the other party on the phone.
Also, if you can't find the cat,
when you get the ending where you are rescued, don't enter the police car right away... explore the nearby area
1 found this helpful
this game was great at setting the atmosphere and it paid off with the climax of the game, great story and good scares! Watch my playthrough here https://youtu.be/boIK0w1ENQo1 found this helpful
Beautiful game. A little bit too much reading, but it's worth it, since it provides an interesting lore. Hardly one jumpscare, but it offers a creepy atmosphere and suspense. Dev says it's their first game, and not only it's a success for a first project, but it's really well made in general. Huge W1 found this helpful
Amazing game. It's the developers first shot at a game and we had a lot of fun playing it. Absolute Cinema.1 found this helpful
