What Steam players say
Recent verbatim reviews from Steam — separate from playze.io community reviews below.
Chromalition receives mixed reactions from players. Supporters praise its clever color-switching puzzle mechanics that become increasingly challenging and inventive, along with intuitive controls and a minimalist visual style with vibrant colors that creates a relaxing atmosphere. However, critics point to poor technical polish, unimpressive low-poly graphics that feel dated, a confusing sense of direction with unclear objectives, and overall mediocre execution that suggests an unfinished or student project.

"Chromalition" is a rather mediocre (possibly student/weekend project) game, a rollerblading/graffiti themed third person platformer where you turn into graffiti (why) and just sort of skate around and do some "missions" in a simplistic low poly/cartoony looking urban map. It was let down by a somewhat lacklustre technical delivery, lack of polish (even though this is far from the worst game on Steam, it's also nowhere near being the best). On the important subject of visuals, this features fairly low quality stylised/cartoony low poly 3D graphics. It comes across as the kind of thing you see on mobile phones and Nintendo games, which will deter a lot of PC gamers, understandably. Gaming is a visual medium, and to be considered one of the best games on Steam, the graphics have to be some of the best on Steam. That's not happening here. This game is fairly dated at 5 years old... and even back then it looked old and busted compared to contemporary, professionally made 3D games of the same period. It looked bad then, it looks worse now. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. Most "free" games on Steam aren't really free. There's usually some kind of monetisation, from nas…2 found this helpful
The movement is fun but the game gives you no sense of direction. Most of my time was spent jumping around looking for the next thing to do and not finding it.
Before I played Chromalition, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good
