About Codex Solis: Purrgatorium
Fly through solar-system, hunt evil entities and survive fast, aggressive space combat built around constant movement, weapon choices, and pressure. As you fight evil entities in solar system, you collect psychic cat cards. Then you can use your cat cards to claim land on planets. For each land you claimed, you are allowed to enter any text you want. If the land is already occupied, you can drive them out if you have the better psychic cat cards deck. Each conquerable land on a planet is a verse on that planetary holy book. Thus the game allows players to collectively write planetary holy books. The 11 different books is accessible for anyone to read on the games website. Readers can also vote on the verses, affecting their fate in the solar flash. Solar flash is an event that occurs every couple of months, where verses that have lots of dislikes are purged and the game continues with the rest of the verses. Each one of 110 psychic cat cards is based on real cats that are happily living in Türkiye.Key Features
- Arcade mode where you can just enjoy space battles offline. (With adjustable difficulty and active enemy count).
- Ultra-widescreen friendly.
- Optional pixelate and CRT effects for more arcade feel.
- Controller support (On the main menu and space battle only. You'll need keyboard and mouse to use your cat cards in online mode and to write verses).
- Written verses visible for everyone on the web by game's website.
- 4 different factions
- Temporary power up pickups based on Tarot cards

I kept dying at first but after getting the hang of it its actually pretty easy and fun. Graphics are nice and very eye candy. Satisfying explosions. Especially loved the optional pixelate and crt effects. (For some reason they are under gameplay settings and not graphic settings.) Sfx could be better. Music fits well with the action. Gave me Doom Eternal vibes at some points. Weird story. The collective writing part is gonna need a lot more players to be fun. Currently its empty. Also, seems like there is a bug with Saturn. I cant orbit it the way other i can orbit other planets. My xbox controller worked with it (in the space battles). But for orbit & verse writing, there is no on screen keyboard, so mouse & keyboard is needed there.1 found this helpful
early stage but it’s already trying something interesting fast paced space shooter but with this weird cat cards + territory thing going on kinda chaotic but in a good way, feels like it has real potential if they polish it1 found this helpful
