Completely Stretchy is such an aggressively mediocre game, that i really can't recommend it at it's current price (or any price really). It relies on one mechanic, the stretchy arm (which is for all intents and purposes a grapple) which completely fails to be utilised to it's fullest extent. The maps barely accommodate for it, being mostly long and somewhat flat, instead of very vertical which would allow for the grapple mechanic to shine through, and the world is not very interactable either, most objects are static and can't be moved by the player, nor are there any quests which require the player to grab distant objects and manipulate them. Now this could be forgiven of course if the rest of the game made up for it, but it does not. The story is so bland and non-existent that i honestly couldn't even tell you what it was about in this review (and i just finished the game). The same can be said for the NPCs, the game even has the gall to throw a random NPC name at you in the final mission, and expect you to be like "Oh yeah that guy let's go find him" when they are all completely bland, one-liner uninteresting characters (even calling them characters is a stretch). The only savin…

Completely Stretchy is a very good, colorful, absurd exploration adventure. + Strong colorful absurd and comedic theme + After initial intro, free exploration, mission and side quest + Three themed islands you can navigate between + Upgrade progression * Controls can feel a bit cumbersome and random, but for the most part, they work well enough and offer freedom - No hint or help system, map, or compass for collecting the last hidden achievement completionist items

It looks like Sludge Life with similar silly world build but not as good, the jokes don’t land and most NPCs look alike it’s easy to get bored, but the most painful part is the sticky hand doesn’t grip well, making climbing frustrating and this game requires a lot climbing, the janky controls wipe out all the fun. The city looks interesting in a way with the monorail, though. If a future update makes the sticky hand easier to use = easier to get around I’d come back but not in the current state. The game is basically a combination of goat simulator and the plumbus joke from Rick and Morty. That could work, except most of the wackiness comes from the plumbus joke (that characters have weird names, use weirdly named objects). This is a light "Not Recommended" but the thing that sealed the deal for me is that as you get a longer and longer arm, you can swing from further away, but you can't press buttons from further away. It feels not good that the one superpower your nameless character has is arbitrarily limited, and then the depth of the rest of the world is limited as well. Not the worst by far, but a bit inconsistent. It could hit different if you were into that kind of humor, I guess.
