About Congratulations On Your Purchase
You paid for this.

Not accidentally. Not on impulse. You saw the price. You read the description. And then you bought it anyway.

Welcome.

About the Experience
Congratulations On Your Purchase is a first-person luxury experience set inside a palace. There is a red carpet. There are chandeliers. There are velvet rope barriers — because some spaces must be protected from the wrong kind of people.

You are not the wrong kind of people. You have proven that already.

What You Will Find Here
There is no combat. There are no enemies. There are no quests, no skill trees, no loot boxes — well, there is one box, but it contains only the feeling of having arrived somewhere important.

You will walk. You will look. You will leave something behind.

That is all. That is everything.

Features
- A palace interior rendered with the care and attention your investment deserves
- A red carpet, which you will walk, because you have earned this
- Other guests — or at least evidence that others were here before you
- Ambient music composed to make you feel that your decisions have been correct
- A beginning, of sorts
- An ending, of sorts
- The persistent, unshakeable sense that something meaningful just happened
A Note on Value
The question of whether this experience is worth $999.99 is, philosophically speaking, unanswerable. Worth is constructed. Price is arbitrary. The fact that you are reading this suggests you are already considering it — which means the answer, for you, may already be yes.

We respect that about you.

Congratulations, again, on your purchase.
Or your consideration of your purchase.

Either way — welcome. What Steam players say

Seen that a few people asked me already "Why did you buy this?", I want to elaborate a bit. As you have noticed, I already have more than 3 hours at the time of this review, so I did NOT refund the game nor do I have any intention of doing so. I believe, anyone who just bought this to review it after 10 minutes and then got a refund, shouldn't review the game at all because they totally missed the point. I did not buy this spontaneously, but gave it quite a bit of thought. Reasons why I did make the purchase: 1.) This game is really something unique that stands out amongst all the 1000s of games here on Steam. The developer is to be congratulated for having this idea, and being the first to put out such a "game". I'm wrtiing "Game" in "" because it is more an experience than a real game. Yes, I know there was some "I am rich" App for iPhones a decade or so ago, but on Steam this is the first of its kind. That makes both the product and the buyers special. If any other dev was to jump up on the bandwaggon in a few months and maybe make a similar game that was even more expensive (not sure what Steam's price cap is), I wouldn't be interested. It wouldn't be special anymore the sec…122 found this helpful
Reminds me of modernism in art. You don't get it bro, your IQ is just not high enough to understand real art, Piet Mondrian was a revolutionary genius, his squares were a reduction to the most basic shapes while the rat artists raced towards realism bro. Kazimir Malevich's black square is actually a masterpiece, too bad it's all covered in black paint to cover it entirely, bet it would be really good if I could see it. Mark Rothko should've designed flags for your mum's country. Jackson Pollock is the only man in the world that has ever had a worse handwriting than me, his paintings are most likely short essays he wrote in an attempt to finally graduate middle school. The environment in this game is as flat as Barnett Newman's colored lines. If this game had a bathroom the toilet would be made by Marcel Duchamp. Man, screw Ad Reinhardt, Lucio Fontana, Robert Rauschenberg, Ellsworth Kelly, Agnes Martin, Donald Judd, Dan Flavin, Carl Andre, Cy Twombly and all the posers that try to sell scribbles for insane amounts of money like the developer of this game. There's absolutely nothing to gain out of buying a modern art piece, 99% of the 5% of people that would be impressed by it would …109 found this helpful
