About Court of Ashes
With your king assassinated, and the country in the midst of a war, experience the events that unfurl as one of the five royal advisers now thrust together to create a collective governing council. Manage your resources and allocate them prudently to turn the tides of battle in your favor. Cultivate relationships with your other council members to convince them to support your choices. Filled with narrative-driven interactions and branching choices, Court of Ashes is a turn-based strategy game where you must learn to rule before there is nothing left to rule over.
Choose any one of the five council members to play as and witness the Court of Ashes story through different lenses. Explore how each character has their own ideas about rule and how those ideas manifest into strengths and weaknesses for them. Develop your relationship with each council member to unlock all 60 individualized affinity scenes.
Discover 18 different endings, with various subendings, driven by your choices. Decide which path to follow in a branching narrative which follows your responses to both the war and the other council members.

Only played through it once but I really enjoyed it. Bit of a shame I never even knew this game existed until it became free and suddenly popped up in my recommended.3 found this helpful

Персонажи прописаны ярко и правдоподобно, каждый со своими мотивами и секретами, что затрудняет определение истинных виновных. Система выбора в диалогах действительно влияет на развитие событий и отношения с другими персонажами, создавая ощущение значимости собственных решений. Визуальное оформление выполнено в мрачных тонах, отлично передающих общую атмосферу игры. Музыкальное сопровождение прекрасно дополняет происходящее на экране, создавая нужное настроение. Единственным минусом, пожалуй, является некоторая линейность сюжетных веток, несмотря на наличие выборов. Хотелось бы большей вариативности в концовках и последствиях своих действий. I just realized this game doesn't have nearly as many reviews as it should? I loved the worldbuilding, gameplay, artwork, and all the character options in this kingdom sim. I think I've played as all the characters now except the general. Really nice game, can't believe it's free!
Fun, short, but not very repeatable. Yes their are different leaders but the story is always the same and so are the options. Once you know the right choice, you can win with every character easily.
