It really is a simple move left-and-right ball bouncer, think Pong, but the paddle is a crab. That's all there is to this. The game is really simple and unambitious in terms of implementation, more of a tech demo or one of those cases where an amateur developer spends $100 to publish something on Steam Direct to see if it's possible. Yes, obviously it's possible. A proof of concept, tech demo, or something that's less than a little blip on the radar isn't offering anything truly valuable to gamers. I'm not sure if this is an asset flip, but it's one of those cases where the assets just look much better than the rest of the quality of the game... a glaring inconsistency. Really addictive game. Its something you can just have a lot of fun with. Whats not to like. Looking forward to any add on's to this game or the next game the developer puts out!

Craball is one of those tiny arcade games that looks ridiculously simple until I actually try to keep the ball in the air. I play as a little crab whose job is to keep bouncing a ball without letting it hit the ground, while also collecting gold that drops around the stage. I liked how quickly the game gets to the point because there is almost nothing to learn before I can start trying to beat my own score. The controls are extremely simple. I mainly move from side to side and use the crab's position to keep the ball bouncing. That sounds easy, but the physics make it surprisingly difficult once the ball starts moving in awkward directions. I enjoyed the challenge because every mistake is immediately my fault, and getting into a good rhythm feels genuinely satisfying. The coin collection adds a nice extra reason to take risks. I am not only trying to survive as long as possible, I am also trying to grab as much treasure as I can without losing control of the ball. That creates a small risk and reward system that works well for an arcade game. I liked that the longer I survive, the more I feel encouraged to push my score further.
