Knockdown the Ball Twice

This is terrible. It's nearly impossible to control the ball, it glitches. I don't recommend.

Knockdown the Ball Twice is a low poly Unreal based 3D platformer/physics puzzle game where you wrestle with an unco-operative marble to try get it to roll/jump (why can marbles jump???) to the end of the level, via all the usual obstacles, ramps etc. It's very poorly made, and the real killer, aside from it not being fun to have to wrestle with controls, is that the game bugs out and occasionally your marble will roll off in any arbitrary direction for no obvious reason. It's clear the developer didn't adequately test this before dumping it on Steam. It also lacks polish and is generally clunky and unenjoyable. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. The game features lazy low-polygon "retro" assets, making this look like a barely functional 3D game from the 1990s. It's unclear why the developers weren't able to arrange high quality, high polygon count contemporary assets for the game, and also irrelevant... what matters is that this looks bad as a result of their decisions, a compromise PC gamers shouldn't have to put up with. Life felt like an endless series of monotonous tasks, and I struggled to find joy or purpose. One evening, aimlessly browsing through Steam, I stumbled upon "Knockdown the Ball Twice." The concept seemed simple enough—control a ball and roll it to the end of each level—but little did I know, this game was about to turn my life around. The first time I launched it, I was immediately drawn in by the vibrant graphics and the soothing, yet upbeat, soundtrack. The controls were intuitive, but the gameplay was surprisingly deep. buy it when on big sale, it is fun but way too short..

The minute or so it took me to open a game idler and add this game to the idling list and then get to play the next few minutes to write this review, was more interesting than the godforsaken 66 seconds or so I spent in the first level. I've seen better games made in 2 day game jams than this.

Added this game to my "Hot Garbage" game category. What the fricker controls are these. Can't tell which way the ball is spinning either. Spawn and die
