Crypto Girl The Visual Novel is not a game, it's an e-book that's been dumped on Steam masquerading as a game. As a visual/interactive novel, this doesn't feature any notable gameplay, it's just a lot of clicking through badly written dialogue that would never have been accepted or published in print, which poses the question, "How did something this badly written end up on Steam?". When someone hoping to become an author is unable to get published in print, they spend $100 and dump their high school fan-fiction onto Steam, under the guise of a game. Ghost_RUS Games/Nikita "Ghost_RUS" have a known history of trying to scam people into paying them money for someone else's work, through this account or through closely linked/alt accounts. This is a badly written, badly translated Russian E-book from a toxic, homophobic Russian "developer". It's ther…

Crypto Girl: The Visual Novel, developed by Nikita "Ghost_RUS" and published by Ghost_RUS Games, is a brief and unconventional visual novel that delves into the world of cryptocurrency mining through the eyes of an ordinary South Korean girl named Dokkaebi. Released on March 21, 2018, the game attempts to satirize the cryptocurrency boom by portraying Dokkaebi's naive entry into mining. The narrative touches on themes of ambition, the pursuit of wealth, and the pitfalls of jumping on trends without fully understanding them. However, the execution feels superficial, and the satire lacks depth, making it difficult for players to engage with the underlying commentary. The gameplay of Crypto Girl is straightforward, typical of the visual novel genre. Players follow Dokkaebi's story through text-based dialogues accompanied by static character sprites and backgrounds. The game offers multiple endings, allowing players to make choices that influence the outcome of the narrative. However, the depth of these choices is limited, and the branching paths are relatively shallow. The game's replayability is limited due to its short length and the simplicity of its branching paths. While the mul…
