Cursed Enigma - The Midnight Apartment

This game reminded me a little bit of the 'Chilla's Art' and 'Fears to Fathom' games. Which is fine because I like the style. :) I enjoyed my gameplay experience and didn't run into any bugs or glitches. I even yelped a few times from being surprised by some of the spoopy neighbors! 10/10 the Dev managed to genuinely capture true apartment building atmosphere where you feel like you're the only normal person living there. I can't say much more because the game is very brief and I don't want to spoil it. Do I recommend? Sure! But! It's super short, so you may want to grab it on sale if gameplay time really matters to you. <3

2.1 I didn't like this one as much as the first. The art style is still fine but this one doesn't really have any gameplay and it's story is kind of lacking itself, it feels like another indie game I have played. The prior game at least had the hiding sequence and more of a free roam 'feel' albeit still linear. This has nothing, just when I was nearing the end I was thinking that it would do a segment like the hiding from the first but it just ... ends. Just didn't really inspire anything out of me.

a follow up to a better game. this one has glitches and a story, though one is bad and the other is passable. Just get on sale, and then play once and forget it ever existed. real talk though, its not bad, just not good either.

short and interesting. a lot of odd characters living together with you in the same building. i liked it.

This is a decent little horror game. Playtime is less than an hour, even if you wander around and explore every corner. The bad thing is that the motion blur is absolutely horrendous. I'm not generally bothered by motion blur when others complain about it, but it's EXTREME in this game, and changing settings did not improve it. The game is also overpriced without a discount. I wouldn't recommend spending more than a dollar on it. Despite being decent, it's very short, and there's just not much there. That said, I do plan to play the next installment if it is reasonably priced.
