Escape the Red Curse

Escape the Red Curse is a short escape room game where you play as one of the mediums trapped inside a cursed apartment. You need to explore the rooms, find hidden items and your missing teammates, solve puzzles, and remove curses. Regular curses are removed by entering a hidden symbol that you have to find before time runs out. There are also black curses. During these events, you need to quickly press five heads that look like Behelits from Berserk before they close their eyes. After that, they will show a specific emotion. Finding the correct symbols by guessing is not easy: after each try, the symbol changes, and mistakes deal damage. If you make too many mistakes, you will die (dont worry, the progress will be saved). But you can always brute-force the code locks if you are missing a number. The visuals may not be for everyone, but personally, it was not a problem for me. I did not like the background music, and there were also some problems with the volume settings: even if you turn the music down to zero, it starts playing again after some time. The atmosphere is one of the game's strongest points, creating a constant sense of tension and mystery without relying solely on jump scares. The environments are detailed and immersive, and the story gradually unfolds in a way that makes you want to keep exploring to discover what happened. The puzzles are well-designed, challenging enough to be satisfying but not so difficult that they become frustrating. I especially enjoyed the sound design and soundtrack, which add a lot to the eerie mood. The developers clearly put effort into creating a unique experience with memorable locations and interesting lore. If you enjoy horror games with exploration, puzzles, and a compelling story, Escape the Red Curse is definitely worth playing. It's a hidden gem that deserves more attention from the gaming community. Highly recommended!

Game has it's own atmosphere, it's enriched with deep story, interesting dialogues. Recommend this.

I am already 4 hours into the game and there's still a lot of puzzles to crack. I really enjoy the diversity of the puzzles but the graphics of this game are very raw-ish so you can tell that no AI has been used to develop this game... maybe that's a good thing as there's AI everywhere now or maybe the developer just doesn't know how to use AI properly, idk. Anyway, a solid game, keep on developing!
