Curses 'N Chaos

Pixelated beat 'em up that goes by waves. Only one screen per stage, then you have 10 waves of enemies and finally a boss. It gets very tough very quickly. Passing stage 2 was near impossible in singleplayer and challenging in coop. We managed to see the boss of stage 3 but couldn't beat it. I don't think it's for nothing the percentages for achievement completions are so low (only 2.5% finished). The main problem is that you have too many waves and you have to beat every enemy before you can tackle the boss again. New enemies keep popping up even if you haven't defeated the current ones so you can get easily swarmed if you're not fast enough and especially if it's enemies that require more than one hit. Plus there's a timer with an invincible grim reaper that appears if you take too much time. I liked the chiptune music, the little I heard of it. The interface was clunky and buying items seemed pointless as you can only carry one item and you get plenty of them during play. Moves were limited to less than a handful and I tended to use the same one. I'm not sure but it seemed as if I got hit by enemies too much when I was trying to hit them, as if the timing wasn't quite right. I…
