Well… hopefully, you’re lucky.-      A Maze of Mayhem – Crypts, quicksand, rolling boulders—this forest wants you to fail.-      A Cast of Oddballs – Befriend (or avoid) scam-artist Eudora, overly dramatic ghosts, and Tim the werewolf, who insists it was just business.

Survive the night, break the curse, and maybe - just maybe - get paid for your trouble.

I was lucky enough to have won this game through a giveaway! The writing is so funny. The music in the first part of the maze is incredible! I found myself moving in grooving in my seat while searching for the candle and the entrance to the cave. I'm very bad at mazes and I started this game while I was a little sleepy - I would definitely suggest playing while wide awake. The maze is very effective. You will get lost. I was the appropriate amount of upset while playing. I look forward to anything and everything these devs release!

Can horror be cozy? I didn't think so, but they proved me wrong! I don't usually do horror or anything like that, but this game was so much fun! I'll definitely be returning to the labyrinth and seeing just how fast I can do it.

This game is a really cute, bite-sized little adventure that you can guarantee you won't need to spend more than a couple hours on (there's literally a countdown timer). I enjoyed the dialogue a lot, its very cute and witty. I also really loved the combat system. It's a nice, easy system but it doesn't make combat feel less important in the game. Its a low cost, low commitment game that is simply good fun. In the category of super affordable, cozy games this game is a 10/10 for me. I loved it, and can't wait to replay to see if I can beat my time.

I have played a few of Raguthra's demos and when I got my hands on this game I was delighted to be able to play a full release by them. The Curse of the Howling Woods is a timed experience and really keeps in mind the countdown and how the game play mechanics are impacted by it. It has great replay-ability by encouraging you to see how fast you can beat the game. I appreciate the fact that while the games mechanics are designed to chip away at your time, it never do so in a way that is to the detriment of your experience. If you're extra careful you can avoid most things that cut into your time, which is what makes it a fun challenge! It is a straight forward story and a fun game that really is a great choice if you're looking for something to play leading up to Halloween night. Or any other night but I played it in October so I found it seasonally fitting!
