Cyberforge: First Light

"Cyberforge: First Light" is is not a game. It's an advertisement for a product called "Cyberforge". Cyberforge is an aborted attempt to make a game nobody wanted, a lulzy bad twin stick shooter with some "cyberdwarf" theme (they've obviously played a bit of Deep Rock Galactic and decided they could get famous by exerting 1% of the talent and ripping off someone else's ideas). It was shaping up to be a pointless procgen hellhole, but then they gave up after nobody bothered with their abandoned Early Access advertisement. So, "Cyberforge" was never made, to the relief of gamers everywhere. But this isn't completely relevant because this is not Cyberforge, it's just an advertisment for it, so it's not correct to try to review that completely distinct product. We must instead review this for what it is... an advertisement. If you enjoy advertisements, you can consume them for free on the web or on Youtube without needing to add them to your game library, download them, and then launch the advertising. It's impossible in a general sense to recommend people should do that over playing real, full games on Steam, and that applies here with "Cyberforge: First Light" too. Usually …

TLDR: Very good game for early access. My only real critique is a bug report. At first I thought that more rooms haven't been designed yet, but I'm on my third run so far and the same room keeps repeating, even though I know different ones exist that I've been in before, so there may be a small bug with rooms repeating. In terms of what the game has to offer its a very good rogue like with good strategy and fun puzzles, and It's very fun to get good at.

looks great so far! i like the "lost vikings" vibe between the 3 characters. i think this game has a lot of promise. i couldnt get my controller to work, but its not an official controller for mac or steam, so it is always hit or miss with what games it will work with. im looking forward to more updates!
