About Dwarfs!?
Guide your chaotic dwarf colony to dig, mine, and fight their way to riches across randomly-generated caves before they inevitably perish in spectacular fashion. Switch between arcade, tower defense, and puzzle modes while managing greedy dwarfs who are just as likely to destroy your town hall as they are to save it—or launch them at monsters with a dwarf cannon when all else fails.
As the new overseer for your underground Dwarf base, your job is to manage the small colony and make it as rich as possible, before they meet their inevitable doom! To survive as long as possible, you’ll have to steer and guide your greedy little fellows to the richest points in the caves, while avoiding all the dangers – so they don’t end up destroying your Town Hall and its essential supply of beer.
They explore for you, they mine for you and they fight for you - but if you don't keep an eye on them, they'll do what they do best: die for you and take everyone else with them. But, if all else fails when the Spider Queen comes for you – use the Outpost’s Dwarf Cannon and shoot Dwarfs at her!
There are only 3 certainties in this world: death, taxes and that Dwarfs always dig too deep!

I picked this up mostly out of curiosity and ended up sinking way more time into it than I expected. You basically babysit a horde of suicidal little dwarves who will happily dig straight into lava or a flood if you blink, so it's your job to steer them, wall things off, and blow holes to drain the danger before it wipes your colony. It's chaotic in a charming way, the music is relaxing, and there's a surprising amount of variety once you dig into the extra modes and difficulties. My only real gripe is that the achievements can be finicky, since a couple wouldn't unlock for me until I messed around with the free version. Still, for a cheap and addictive time killer it's an easy yes, especially on sale.1 found this helpful
It's simple but fun. try it out and support them with the purchase
Very cool old game, there's a lot of fun to have here. Dig all the riches of the land, but being dwarfs, they are always drunk, making mistakes like flooding the mines, either with water or lava or (redacted). Real time action management, like I said very cool old game.

Pretty good casual strategy game. You have your dwarfs, which mostly go about their business digging holes and mining gold on their own, but you can give them directions at a small cost. You need to mine as much as you can while still using your various tools to protect your dwarfs. However, you must use your tools wisely, as they cost you valuable gold. Also features voice acting by Simon from Yogscast, of "Diggy Diggy Hole" fame. It reminds me somewhat of Lemmings. As in that game, your dwarfs are autonomous and you have a limited ability to help them and keep at least most of them alive. It also reminds me a little bit of Dwarf Fortress, in that you take the position of Overseer and watch over your largely independent dwarfs and try your best to deal with disasters as they occur. Although this game is fully 2D, and is pretty much infinitely simpler in every way. You might call this a Dwarf Fortress equivalent for kids. There are some very tame alcohol references and a bit of quite mild cartoon violence. I consider this game appropriate for kids, if that is what you are looking for. Acing the challenges can be a little tricky but overall the game is pretty easy by real-time s…
It's a high score game. That's it. Dwarves roam around and uncover hidden areas which might have a boss, lava, or water. Cut the lava and water off, kill the boss. That's it, you're just trying to get a high score. The score is the driving force as you'll want as many of the dumb miners to be spawned for a higher score, which means more random uncovering of hidden areas. Every single action costs gold which is what you'll need to get a higher score. The UI is not good, menu screen harks back to the old days and is very unclear, the controls are not good.
