Not too bad for a F2P tower defense shooter. May not have the production value or depth for diehard fans of the genre though.
If you are familiar with the tower defense genre (especially the FPS hybrids), most of the game won't really surprise you: - You have an object to protect from enemies. - You have a finite set of points where you can place turrets. - Enemies can come by ground or by air during each wave. - Enemies that can reach your turrets will attack them. - You use currency to place and upgrade turrets. - Turrets have synergies based on attack type and/or effects (i.e. ballistic turrets do extra damage to frozen enemies).
Things Worth Noting:
Unlike most tower defense games, when you want to interact and place or upgrade a tower you simply click on buttons in a UI menu. In this game you can repair turrets during a wave for "free" using your hammer. However, it's kinda slow so your time may be bette…3 found this helpful
Disclaimer: I was a playtester on the game Dwarfare is an enjoyable fps tower defence game where you have to stop swarms of growth while managing both the towers and yourself. There is a range of different turrets and weapons available which allows for some variety in approach to each mission. The levels get increasingly difficult, longer and larger which adds to the difficulty as you progress throughout the game. Considering it is free and an enjoyable experience, I would recommend giving it a try.3 found this helpful
Gameplay Video So this was probably a student project at Strayer Media Design School so keep that in mind. The game may have been rushed or didn't have enough time to do what they wanted or dreamed to big. This game is just not fun. There was a bunch of bugs. There was nothing special about the enemies. Even though there was a bunch of different types of enemies they all felt like that did the same thing; attack & move. None of the towers really seem to do anything special.
