About Deadly Night

Deadly Night is a stealth-driven, grindhouse style slasher game. Featuring low poly, PS1 style visuals – prepare to feel helpless as you are stalked by a relentless killer!

Alone and afraid in a remote roadside motel; leered at and lusted after by fiends and weirdos - but if only you knew this was just the beginning of the terror. Soon, no one is safe; and soon, everyone is going to die…unless you can avoid and outwit your bloodthirsty pursuer…

Abducted from one hell and dropped into another for a bloody game of cat-and-mouse, will you prove to be resourceful enough to escape with your life? OR will you run into your murderous stalker’s arms for a violent, grisly, gory end to this waking nightmare? Not for the weak of heart – prepare for slaughter, debauchery, nudity, and horror on this Deadly Night!
  • Use your wits to stay one step ahead of the killer – hide in closets, under beds, cabinets; whatever you must do to survive!
  • Cinematic experience encouraging replayability with multiple endings – can you save everyone? OR will you choose to kill them all?
  • Sleep with the lights on after encounters with a killer in an abandoned ramshackle home, desolate farmland, and a maze-like forest
  • Maneuver through and uncover secrets in the nightmare-scapes of a traumatized mind – these scorched earth memories and hallucinations will become your own!
  • Plug & play gamepad support!

This game started off basic and seems like my kind of game. But then you get to the house and it's extremely frustrating and unfun. You stay in this tiny cramped dark house where you can barely see anything. And the killer makes this really obnoxious sound every time he finds you. But in order to progress you need to find an item that needs an item that needs another item, that also happens to need another item, and then that item needs an item, but in order to get that item you need another item to progress. And it's like what are we doing here, is this a horror game or is this a waste of my time? I don't know if I can continue and beat this.

I wanna like this but the size of the house makes it very frustrating when stealthing. It's way too small and you will constantly be alerting the killer.

think of the worst dialogue or acting you've experienced in a horror movie/game/etc. i bet this was even worse. deeply irritating stealth system with a setting that doesn't feel built for it (the house having like two hallways with countless spots with one entry/exit as the killer waltzes around with no rhyme or reason to his movement) on top of unhelpful sound design to even tell when it's safe to move around. started getting a black screen upon loading the game randomly after it had been fine for almost an hour's worth of playtime before that, cool.

Not one of their best games nor their worst. The frustrating part for me was the house section. The house is so cramped and the run speed of your character and the killer makes it frustrating when you are bumping into every wall trying to escape him. There are several endings and I got the worst ones for all characters? Felt really unrewarding when I thought I had finally escaped only to get killed.

Great game. The house level is terrifying and off-putting at first, but it’s a good adventure, and what happens next is rich and satisfying enough to make it all worthwhile. On the “could have done it better” part, the sounds of the murderer could have been a bit more diversified (more than one scream for example), same thing for the footsteps. All in all great fun/scare.
