Deck of Life: No Turns, Individual Card Permadeath

"Deck of Life: No Turns, Individual Card Permadeath" is a bad title for a game and a very badly made, convoluted and instructionless card battler... think Slay The Spire but the developer didn't bother making interesting monsters to fight, it's just empty 1v1 fights vs the AI. It was a complete and utter failure. The graphics aren't great, suspiciously AI slop looking garbage with no explanation about how things work. That's understandably a turn off for a lot of gamers, and it's a big contributor to the failure of the game to attract gamers despite having no up-front cost. Gaming is a primarily visual medium, and if developers want to succeed, they must understand that it's not an area for compromise. You deserve better than compromises. The developer chose not to do the job of a real game developer and create meaningful bespoke levels, narrative based gameplay progression and so on. Instead, they decided that "Procgen IS content!" and lazily tried to use procgen algorithms to create infinite, samey, repetitive, soulless levels, because that's a lot less work. This is a very interesting game, but I think it needs a touch of polish. I love the idea of it, but at the current state, you can blaze through a game in 15s. Again, the idea is very cool, but I can't see myself playing it at the current state

Holy what. Barely any explanation, cards don't tell what they do. First run I got stuck on final boss just spamming defense cards at each other since we both ran out of attacks. At least it's free.

Deck of life is a much different game than I expected. While I have expected it to be a turn-based card game, a quick real-time game came out, the game is so fast it could even be considered an action game. The tutorial in the game is very bad, you have to learn it yourself and the game is quite difficult. I may only recommend trying this game because of the free price tag.
