DepthQVR_AQUA is a fun, engaging, immersive ride & casual gaming experience, a layered experiential environment filled with intuitive interaction, story immersion, and exhilaration.
This novel application of virtual reality technology simulates a traditional indoor amusement ride on which passengers aboard a guided vehicle travel through specially lit scenes that typically contain video, animation, sound, music, game interactives, and special effects.
We support Steam VR and 'Desktop' (non VR) gameplay modes; 'Desktop' is supported via Keyboard/Mouse and Xbox Controller.
The AQUA themeology is a gaming skin, a stage dress that sits atop our evolving and entertaining game mechanics.

"DepthQVR_AQUA" is not a game. Games contain meaningful gamelike interaction and game loops, which are absent in this software. Instead of being a game, "DepthQVR_AQUA" is a software application that presents a 10 minute long Youtube video, (just one video) which is an underwater themed "roller coaster" ride. Seriously, the developer of this software can't tell the difference between a video game and a Youtube video. There needs to be an IQ test before anyone is allowed to use Steam Direct. For those unfamiliar with what actually makes something a game, a "game loop" describes the interaction and feedback a gamer has when playing a game. Tetris, for example, has a game loop where a random block appears, the gamer interacts with the block to position it, and then the game decides if that finishes a row or not, increases the players score if any rows were completed, then gives the gamer another block to position. Counter-Strike has a game loop where a player seeks another player, tests their skill against that player by shooting them or being shot, the computer rewards the player if they win, and then if the player survives, they repeat that loop. Модели рыб и кораллов выглядят неплохо, и сам процесс исследования океана расслабляет. Однако, интерактивности явно не хватает. В основном, приходится просто плавать и рассматривать окружение. Отсутствуют какие-либо миссии, цели или элементы геймплея, делающие погружение более интересным. Не хватает возможности взаимодействовать с морскими обитателями или собирать какие-то предметы. Несмотря на это, DepthQVR_AQUA может быть хорошим первым VR-опытом для тех, кто хочет просто расслабиться и насладиться красотами океана. Это скорее симулятор исследования, чем полноценная игра. Если вы ищете что-то с глубоким геймплеем, то лучше поискать что-то другое. Но для короткой и медитативной "прогулки" под водой DepthQVR_AQUA вполне подходит. Главное - не ждите слишком многого.
WTF was that? I laughed and wondered through the whole experience about the random assets floating around, quirky scenery and random nature...reminded me very much of Vapor Wave aesthetics. I thought i was "Immune" to motion sickness, but the unpredictable motion and perspective shifts made me so dizzy....WOW! This was quite a trip.... This is art in its purest form :D
It is an incredible experience and is what I hope more vr will be like in the future. I would love to see more content added to this one as well.
Fun and beautiful experience only VR can bring.
