theBlu: is a deeply immersive VR series that allows audiences to experience the wonder and majesty of the ocean through different habitats and come face to face with some of the most awe inspiring species on the planet. The series, which is directed by Jake Rowell (Call of Duty, Final Fantasy, Superman Returns), has been designed as beautiful moments in passing or a collection of memories that powerfully tap into the vast potential of VR. The debut episode, featuring an incredible close encounter with an 80 foot whale, is already recognized as one the most iconic room scale VR experiences to date (a Sundance Film Festival 2016 selection).

boring, the fact you only get one experience is just lame. Then you have to pay to get the other 3?, 3 being a piss take!; not worth it and no updates for almost 4 years!1 found this helpful
Visually, I can't say this is 100% the best VR visuals I have seen, for I have seen many to compare it to. But, it is one of the most top stunningly detailed VR experiences one can get to see in VR. Not much else can match it, or it's depth of field, and mass of full on 3D fish is one of the most impressive things about it. One will not be disappointed. The one downside is to me, it's too short, unless one clicks on the aquarium option in one of the few experiences that has it, for endless joy. And there is not many experiences to view, as of yet. Oh' but they are soo good. As for the price, one be a fool to complain. The mane program and first experience that comes with it, is 100% free. You can't beat that with a stick. And each other extra is about $2 each. Not the kind of price I'd loose any sleep over paying for what I be getting. If you like fish aquariums on the PC, and want a space to relax in with some exceptional in VR visuals to zone out in, you can't go wrong with this. I just hope to see a few more experiences made, even if they may cost a bit more for each. Do I recommend this as is? That is a big "YES!" ^.^1 found this helpful
The game is a 5 minute video. It's an okay video, but really not that impressive. If you want more, you have to pay and the first video didn't grab me enough to care. If you love whales maybe this game would be worth it, but for most people, even for free, it's very meh and probably not worth the effort of downloading it.

DEMO REVIEW I think going into this with the right expectation is important. Lets be real, $6 USD isn't a whole lot to ask for. Making you pay for the game in $1.99 expansions seems like a strange choice, but if you think about it, the base being a demo so you can make an educated choice on buying more - seems really reasonable and in a way courteous. Its not really interactive, its not even a game - it feels more like a show off of just how cool the VR can be and what it can do. Wanna show off the VR to your friends or mother? Hook them up to this, and help them with the controls. Or if the idea of being at the bottom of the ocean for a few moments excites you, calms you, centers you... Its all about expectations right? Yes, I do recommend this, with these thoughts in mind. I think I will buy the DLC at some point, just cause I want to see it - and I want my mom to see it too :)
