i played the demo a little bit before writing this review, bought the game to see if anything changed. in it's current form the game is extremely barebones. controls feel really bad on mouse+keyboard. didn't try with controller but assume it'd also be bad. animations are quite slow, having some sort of speedup button would be greatly appreciated. edit: one was added the gameplay itself seems like it has the potential to be quite interesting, a roguelite square based tactics game. the board system for level ups seems fun, trying to minmax rewards in combat by completing the challenges, making use of the cards(randomly spawning powerups). however the task of actually getting there in it's current state isn't really worth it with how early the game is currently. will be following to see how it progresses however. unsure why it went on steam as a full release, game is clearly super early access. edit: i forgot this game doesnt even have a feaure to change controls. it also doesn't tell you what your controls are. so for some reason changing camera angle on mouse+keyboard is... holding rmb and shaking your mouse? idk. game just is so early on that i have no idea why it releas…2 found this helpful
