it keeps crashing eveytime, i cant even play it

This is one of the best games I've ever played, it seems stupid, I got it as a joke but after a couple joke conversations, I took it seriously. I gave me some better insight on relationships and the ways things can end so easily and how simply talking can fix lots of problems. I give this game a 9/10 it gets kind of boring after playing enough and sometimest the the other mantis ignores what you have said

10/10 Would nut in a praying mantis again Game made me cry, then made me horny, then made me cry again. Had to edit my environment variables just to run this jank on my modern PC. Still one of the best experiences I’ve had in a visual novel. Lost my virginity to a mantis :3

After reading all the unironic "this game genuinely saved my relationship and changed my views of relationships forever" reviews, I decided to get this and play it with my then girlfriend, who was interested in videogames but was worried she would be bad at anything that required reflexes. After about ten minutes of playing, she started to be visibly irritated. "What the heck are they still talking about? Either do it or don't, what else is there even to solve!?" No, I thought. There is no way I am going to judge the relationship skills of a grown woman based on a praying mantis dating simulator. That doesn't make sense. The relationship ended 6 months later, and while, as always, we both contributed to that result, possibly the biggest reason was that she was really bad at talking about relationship issues and kept avoiding it.

Don't Make Love takes one of nature’s stranger mating behaviors and turns it into an intimate piece of interactive fiction about affection, desire, responsibility, and mortality. Don't Make Love is probably one of the strangest relationship games I have played, but I mean that in a good way. I am playing as one of two praying mantises who are in love and trying to decide whether they should mate, knowing that the relationship could end with one of them killing the other. That sounds ridiculous at first, but the game actually uses the idea to talk about love, fear, trust and communication. It is basically one long conversation, but there is much more going on underneath it than I expected. The thing I like most is that I can actually type my own responses instead of picking from a normal list of dialogue options. I can say what I want and the other mantis reacts depending on what I write. It is not completely unrestricted because the game is looking for responses that fit the situation, but when I stay within the conversation it can feel surprisingly personal. I like that I have to actually think about what I want to say instead of simply choosing the dialogue option that looks nicest. The relationship system is simple but effective. I am constantly trying to balance what my character wants with what their partner wants, and there is no completely safe ans…
