"Players experience the tranquility and challenges of backcountry camping— Setting up tent and campfire, fishing, cooking meals, and a nice cold beer on hand." You hit e to get a black screen to "set camp', campfire wood magically appears for you each night, you don't cook a single thing literally pull raw dogs out of the cooler and you eat them cold. There is nothing "authentic' about this camping experience even if you took away the horror elements. The walking speed is insanely slow up until the end of the game, and I mean painfully slow. TLDR: I hope you like walking because its walk, loading screen, walk, loading screen, mess with a couple items, MAYBE get jump scared? EDIT: The game was $6.99 USD at the time of purchase, as of 10/3/25 the price has been lowered to $3.99 USD.

i enjoyed the story and the small things you could do like cooking the food if you drop it on the grill. the ending was great as well. there was a few bugs i found that found tho: -in the intro i backed the truck into the fence and it got stuck there and i had to restart. -the radio at the camp had some audio issue where it would only play if it was on my left side and when i move my mouse around it would stop playing. additionally i would love more of an on screen instruction instead of having to use the pause menu as i felt alot of times i was unsure what i was meant to do next. great experience and i look forward to seeing what else you make:)

I think this game has potential. The storyline and lore is thought out well. sometimes the dialogue seems pushy or forced and doesnt flow naturally, but a couple small tweaks is all it would take to fix that. I believe this story has multiple endings but i haven't tried to achieve another one. this is very much a solo developer game. if you want to support an indie horror game and can spare the cost, then i would recommend this game, but if you're looking for a more polished horror game then this is not for you. I like the knock off name brands.

The actual story is pretty good, I "beat" the game and liked the amount of care they put into the details to piece together what is going on. I won't spoil why but it seems like this is something to play through and see if you can get multiple endings. I'm not sure if the option to just go home and avoid the situation is just not live yet. I think I found a bug where if you do catch a fish at the lake you just can't pick up firewood but this was on my 2nd playthrough. Other than that, I recommend giving the game a try if you are a fan of supporting indie horror games.

Echoes of the Wind is a great first game. The Canadian wilderness setting is really well done, and the shift from peaceful camping to psychological tension feels natural and atmospheric. It’s a solid story-driven experience and a strong debut. Excited to see what the developer creates next
