Cute little game, works your brain1 found this helpful
Einstein's Cats is a charming indie puzzle experience developed and published by Firebird Games LLC that takes a familiar concept—logic deduction puzzles—and wraps it in an irresistibly cozy package centered around cats. Rather than relying on reflexes or complex mechanics, the game asks players to slow down and carefully process a series of clues to determine where each feline belongs. Every cat has its own preferences, from the type of box it enjoys to the accessories it wears and even its ideal position on a shelf. The result is a game that feels inspired by classic Einstein-style logic problems while presenting them through hand-crafted visuals and a delightfully wholesome atmosphere. The core gameplay revolves around reading and interpreting clues such as identifying which cat prefers tall boxes, which one dislikes certain locations, or determining a cat's identity through elimination. As players advance, the puzzles steadily introduce additional variables including fur patterns, names, hats, scarves, crowns, and increasingly elaborate arrangements. This gradual increase in complexity keeps the experience engaging without becoming overwhelming. The game succeeds in making log…
This a cute little logic game about cats. What I loved: - I was pleasantly surprised to find that it worked on Steamdeck without many adjustments. - The visuals are all really cute. It’s clear that a lot of time and thought went into the beautiful illustrations. - The game runs smoothly and consistently. I had no issues with lagging or crashing, nor did I find any substantial bugs. - Quality of life in the game is good- it’s easy to reset the level, relevant clues are highlighted for you, and drag and drop behaves as you’d expect. What didn’t work for me: - The puzzles themselves are all quite easy. They do get a bit more difficult as you go along but even the hardest of them don’t take more than a few minutes to solve. - The repetition. The puzzles get really repetitive as you go through the game- there are no new attributes or expanded grid sizes. I think this game would be perfect for a child who’s a strong reader as a first introduction to logic puzzles. If you’re looking for difficult logic puzzles, this game is not it. But maybe could be with additional levels. I picked this game up on sale and probably wouldn’t purchase at full price ($5).
This is fantastic! I was looking for something to play after "Is This Seat Taken?" and this was the perfect game for it. It reminds me more of the grid-style logic puzzles, in that there's a list of rules & one correct solution per level, but this is better, in no small part because THERE ARE SO MANY CUTE CATS! The cats are adorable and the art is such a cool papercraft-style. There's also a digital sticker book that you unlock new stickers for after completing each stage, which is a lot of fun to play with. Between all of that, the chill music, and the just-challenging-enough puzzles, I had an amazing time with this. This really deserves to be so much more popular- if you like puzzle games and/or cats, this game is very worth it!
Very cute and fun!
I loved this game. It was a quick play but the levels were adequately challenging. There wasn't a single level that I had to rage quit.
