What fun! Easy, fun game. Very well done, good artwork, great story. No stress, delightful. Recommend for relaxing time.1 found this helpful
Elroy and the Aliens is one of those traditional adventure games with a conventional interface, inventory puzzles and lots of dialogues. It’s a cartoon comedy that sees no need to reinvent the genre. It was very fun to play through, with a loveable cast in a cool story. It’s a game with plenty of heart, though perhaps with too easy puzzles for some, and featuring enjoyable minigames if you like that sort of thing. Just finished Elroy and the Aliens. What a great game. Definitely a throwback to old school point and click games. In the very best way possible. If you have any fondness for Lucas Arts games of the past. You absolutely owe it to yourself to play this game. All of the old school charm without any of the frustration.1 found this helpful
Great game in the vein of the old point & click adventures. Only critique/ criticism is that it's little short. Would have gladly played for twice as long!1 found this helpful
Cute, until the ending... or well, any cutscenes. They go on forever, and don't let you skip dialogue, even if they take 20 minutes (or what feels like 20 minutes.) It's got references and easter eggs to other point and click adventure games from earlier eras. Though only the lightest nods that are maybe 1 sentence of dialog by one character. The ending is ... frustrating. Particularly if you want to see all of it and have to waste 10 minutes hearing the same dialogue over and over. There IS an autosave BEFORE the unskippable (even on replay) cutscene, but you cant auto-save at any moment after it... a "brief second" before you step into the cutscene... or the SECOND cutscene or the THIRD would be nice. Its otherwise cute, slightly challenging, and fine. Maybe wait for a small sale?
Great game! I leave games early way too often these days, but not this one. It has a great story, it doesn't get repetitive, and it has the right amount of difficulty. Great art style. I could imagine greater/longer endings (also the game could be a bit longer) but these are small complaints. In short. I'd recommend this game, and I hope it gets a 2nd part.
