About Engine Room
Fight your way through hostile space while managing a fragile ship from its heart - the Engine Room. Retreat to upgrade the ship or push your luck further into enemy territory for better rewards - or maybe get blown to pieces! Fight bosses, balance power, and manage supplies to stay alive!
UPGRADE
Throughout your journey, you will acquire resources that can be used to unlock new powerful ship components to improve your chances of success! These come in several forms, such as weapons, shields, and engines!
EXPLORE
Strategically choose your path forward through dangerous star systems. This can mean focusing on gathering resources, fighting powerful enemies, or slipping through with as little conflict as possible!
MANAGE
Your ship has many functions that will need attention in order to keep running properly. You will need to manage which systems are powered on, what each crew member is doing, manage the inventory of a limited cargo bay, and more!
FIGHT
Keep powerful enemies at bay by a variety of means! You can choose to put everything into highly upgrade weapons and burn through their hull, or focus on quick maneuverable engines to avoid incoming fire. Do whatever it takes to push further in to the heart of hostile space!

This game is a very simple yet deceptively stressful take on a management game. Taking care of the ship is actually decently fun, and the fact that you don't get to see whats happening outside of the ship brings a very nerving experience. Your entire life depends on the little hologram front and centre of the engine room. The only thing that I can hope for is for the game to be more fleshed out and more content to be added in the future, as I see a lot of opportunity in this game and I am exited to see where the developer(s) take this concept.1 found this helpful

There's something here, but the game definitely still has major issues: [list] [*]Terrible Performance - The game constantly lags while walking around the ship and even while moving the mouse in menus [*]Balancing - There seems to be no balance. The first star system is super easy and a roll over, and then the second one just crushes you in the first sector [*]Unusable upgrades - No idea how to use these. There is a hint on one of the screens, but even with that approach there's no way to make use of them. [/list] There are more minor issues besides these, but they are less crucial. If these items were fixed the game would at least be playable. Until then, I can't really recommend it.
