About Equinox

The four seasons converge, threatening the very fabric of reality! Will you help the world start anew or save the world by stopping the Grand Equinox?

The project seeks to highlight under-represented martial arts through the featuring of capoeira, pak mei, and tai chi motion capture, alongside a diverse cast of characters.

This game serves as a demonstration of a new approach to 2D fighting game development. One of the best parts of fighting game are the mindgames that go into out-predicting your opponent. Unfortunately, fighting games are so complex and require such a high barrier or entry in their execution that most players never get to engage with this element of fighting games! In order to incentivize players to engage with the "footsie" dynamics of 2D fighting games, all distracting elements were stripped away, creating a single dimension of play that forces players to rely on their fight mechanics and read the opponets' movements rather than mash buttons. Think of this game as a playable proof of concept of a new method of motion capture and gameplay mechanics.

I hope you enjoy!

This has to be one of the most garbage games I've ever played. Its using UFE (Universal Fighting Engine) with poorly edited assets and animations, and has the most horrible graphics, user interface, and music in any game I've ever played. Steam shouldn't allow games this bad on their page for any money. All the graphics are made with free AI art and it's a lazy low-budget product. Do not buy, even for the meme. The devs should actually try making good games instead of this. Edit: I used untrue and harsh words and have edited accordingly. I agree none of the assets were stolen, but were implemented poorly from an existing engine. Most of these moves can be found in other poor quality fighting games, and the moves added do not function. In a fighting game setting, things need to feel polished and understanding, overall flowing together well to make a cohesive game. This game lacks that, and simply feels horrible. The devs should spend much much more time understanding what makes a game fun, and how to make fighting games work before you enter this genre.

Yup, it's under a dollar. ..And it's also one of the absolute worst games you'll ever play! ..Not even joking, take a look... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yxR-442rxRc MY SCORE: A Big Fat ZERO. If this isn't the worst fighting game ever made, I'd love to know one worse than this, JS... NOT RECOMMENDED. If a friend gifts you this game, immediately reject the gift and unfriend, block, and report them!
