Escape Artist: The Trial

I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing. Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side. With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... This is downright terrible. So many bugs. Also, it takes less than 10 minutes to beat, probably less than 5 if the controls actually worked.

Well even though it is cute (or as cute as being in what I presume to be a terrible jail cell) it has a lot of issues. First off THE CLOCK. Please add an option to change it to hours or something. I probably pressed those buttons around 1000 times! It RUINS the experience. Secondly can you make it so that the controllers don't vibrate crazily when your hands come close together, and don't get me wrong... it's not a bad game, it could just use some touch ups. I think in the future it could be a great game but right now it has issues.

Escape the room should be a perfect match for VR. Unfortunately this game has physics bugs galore and height issues (meaning dropped items are often unreachable) that make it impossible to recommend. A little more polish and I would change that review.

The in-game room needs to scale with your room; I can't reach some of the walls because my play area isn't large enough. Also if you drop something on the floor you are screwed because you can't pick it up. Aside from those things the game was ok but those are game breaking.
