About Escape Room VR: Vaudeville
A virtual-reality escape room for the Oculus Rift, Rift S, Valve Index, HTC Vive, HP Reverb, and other OpenVR compatible headsets.
This game is a casual, VR experience filled with puzzles, music, and fun for ages 10-100. Try to collect the puzzle pieces hidden throughout this vaudeville-themed mansion. Go at your own pace through five different rooms, finding secrets and solving puzzles as you go.
This game is single-player and has one difficulty level for all ages. The average time to complete is 30-90 minutes.
This is very similar to a real-world escape room; it's a one-time adventure, so treat this game more like a movie-ticket.
If you get stuck, use the "View the Manual" link on this page to download a .pdf file containing hints and solutions to sections of the game. To avoid spoilers, the hints are separated by page breaks so you can receive progressive disclosure as needed.
Note: This game supports closed-captions for the hearing impaired or deaf audience. You can enable or disable within the adventure using the in-game menu.

A very casual fun game that is exactly what is says. A one-time virtual escape room. The puzzles are a good mix of logic and other skills. The word puzzle room will require a good knowledge of the English language to complete. The auto-save is a convenient feature for each step of the way. If you get stuck, a hints document is available using the "View the Manual" and "View the Website" links. The page breaks after each hint allow you to get just one hint at a time, a nice touch.2 found this helpful
First two rooms are great. Then comes the 3rd room light puzzle. You will hate this puzzle, I guarantee. [This section removed, as it's no longer pertinent.] UPDATE: Changed review based on the dev's graciously patching the game to allow bypassing this puzzle. 2nd UPDATE: I have now finished the game, and my recommendation status stands. The remainder of the puzzles are challenging, but very feasible. And the ending's kind of cute. If you enjoy escape room VR games, then I feel confident saying you will like this one as well.
like the setting and the old posters and classic books, puzzles are great and now you can skip the light puzzle, the only one I got stuck, really enjoyed this game, maybe next you could do a Victorian setting of the spiritual era, puzzles with some Daniel Dunglas Home, spirit cabinets, table tipping lol, on played on Rift s , Ryzen 7 3800X, 6800 XT, windows 10 64.
