✦ AI summary
Players describe Evolution of War as a low-effort asset flip with minimal gameplay depth and no meaningful progression, good only for a single casual match. The game is criticized for combining generic Unity store assets without proper crediting or originality, while the core mechanic of spawning units to clash on a 2D battlefield lacks substance and strategic variety.
Very short and stupid game with no progression what so ever. Good for playing one match maybe.8 found this helpful
"Evolution of War" is technically, amongst other things, an asset flip. The "developer" got a few Unity asset store assets, dumped them all in a blender, and submitted it to Valve as if they're real game developers. It's important to also note the "developers" here didn't credit any of the artists and real, actual game developers who created the assets here, so this is plagiarism, as well as cash grab shovelware. This is a very basic bare bones "soldier defense/attack" game where you create units that march towards the enemy units and fight them on a 2D plane. Smash out as many units as you can as fast as you can. The "gimmick" here is that the developer managed to get his hands on all kinds of assets so you start with like, orcs or dinos or something, and go up to tanks. It's a mis-mash train wreck where nothing fits. The assets are completely mismatched. The gameplay is imbalanced and shonky. Truly, one of the worst games I've played on Steam, and I've played more video games than anyone else on the planet. And reviewed more video games than anyone else on the planet. There's no options to change the resolution for the game or customise the graphics settings. There's …5 found this helpful
