Sounds easy, right? Wrong. Your job at Oregon Industries is to be the forerunner of their colonization program, supplying spaceships, sending them into space, then fighting your way through a plethora of calamities that seek to destroy the blossoming colony.
I mean, that's why they pay you the big bucks.
Expedition Oregon is primarily a resource management simulator. You have to keep food high and death low. If you lose all your water, you lose. If you lose all your food, you lose. If you lose all the colonists, you lose. If you somehow manage to have some colonists survive, you will gain revenue from that planet, funding more projects.
Think Oregon Trail - Space Edition, but with an interesting spin.
Can you defeat the elements or will you fall to the horrors of space?

This is one of the stupidest, buggy, and pointless things i have ever seen. If there is any hope for this sorry excuse for a written work, it should at the very least, make sense to the player, and NOT be 100% driven by random event selection drawings, leaving no room for a players intellect, or skill to change the outcome. I find it very hard to believe that the authors meant for this work to be released in this state. I think they gave up on it, and released it anyway and said "screw it" and walked away. "Expedition Oregon" is just as the developer describes, an utterly garbage ripoff of the Oregon Trail that somehow manages to look even worse than the 1980's elementary school classic. This is basically a set of menus that could have been done in a web browser, coupled with a chain of RNG events that eventually kills you as you go on a FTL like quest to get from A to B as a colonist. What do you do in the game? Uninstall real fast... seriously this is so much worse than Oregon Trail that if settlers had ever known their arduous migration would eventually result in the creation of a video game this bad they would have just stayed on the east coast. For gameplay purposes, because the user interface for this game is mostly just 2D static text/images... it might as well be a web page. It's functionally no different from a browser game. And we all know, Steam isn't here to compete with Chrome and Firefox. If the game can be done in a web browser, it's just not rich or compelling enough to appeal to serious gamers on PC. The graphics here are particularly awful, so bad that it actually stands out as one of the worst looking games on Steam. Quite an accomplishment. It's a big c…
I have played this game for many minutes (65, to be exact), and I'm already having the best time of my life! 10 out of ten. Having I am fun. Yay!
