About Feywing
"Ever wonder how some folks always know where to go, and how to find what they need? Ever wonder what it'd be like to have the intuition that leads you out of harm and into safety? Would you like the ability to choose not just the safest path to a destination, but also the ability to avoid dangerous paths? If you're daring enough, there is a way to gain a supernatural sense of direction and finding your way around. Be warned, it's not safe. Some people trigger the ritual without intent, becoming another number in missing persons cases. Perhaps it is not a bad idea to know how it works in order to avoid it."
Feywing is a short game loosely inspired by classic internet ritual stories. As a participant of the Feywing ritual, you must memorize and navigate the strange environment of the Crossroads to collect materials, make effigies for the ritual, and find a way out of the Crossroads. During all of this, the whimsical Feywing will be there to guide you along.
Of course, the Crossroads is a strange, liminal world with dangers all around. In daylight, you may be safe. As night draws near, your worst enemy is the environment surrounding you...

- Multiple endings to discover.
- Randomly generated maps, relocating landmarks all around.
- No map, only your compass and landmarks to memorize the area.
- Survival hinges on attention to your surroundings. That tree behind you was further back a moment ago.

Alright so if you want me to be honest the game is not that great, You walk around gathering some things and then bringing the things to another thing which makes the game kinda boring and when mixed with this one bug that does not have key items spawn you basically cannot do jack about it. The settings do not have an actual page with settings and the enemies are a bit of a gimmick but you can get used to it also there's no pausing which is really annoying but I believe the game has great potential its just that the game needs to be fixed up I enjoyed the character and the story although I did not get the ending but most of the game gave me idea's on what could be done. Spoilers ahead _______________________________ |_________|Stupid rant about how the game\ ________/_____and how it can be improved\ So how the game works so during the day you need to grab materials for effigies then during the night you need to put them on an alter while listening out and looking out for bushes and tree's because they are the enemies which if I am going to be honest it is stupid but depending on your actions you get a different ending. So here are some changes that hypothetically could help th…4 found this helpful
"Feywing" is what a game would be like if it was just a cardboard cutout of a real game. You wander around a dimly lit, probably asset flipped/kitbashed environment, doing very simple fetch quests while a bird follows you around. Shallow doesn't begin to describe it. What's the game about? Well, according to the developer, Feywing is an adventure game inspired by internet ritual stories. Navigate the "Crossroads", a strange and dangerous liminal space, to collect materials and create effigies needed for the Feywing ritual. Guided by the Feywing, players must memorize landmarks in a procedurally generated map (ugh, Procgen is NOT an ok substitute for doing the job of a game developer and creating content) to find a way to escape (I guess the developer couldn't work out how to do a map). That's rather misleading to say the least... it's just lame fetch quests. Almost but not quite the diametrical opposite of fun. I'm not sure if this is an asset flip, but it's one of those cases where the assets just look much better than the rest of the quality of the game... a glaring inconsistency. There's no evidence, but as always, the biggest problem with asset flips besides the plag…3 found this helpful
