About First Law

Newton's first law states that an object in motion will stay in motion unless acted on by an outside force. That's easy to forget on earth with our thick atmosphere and grippy terrain but on the ice moon Europa, with little air and icy ground, the only thing that will stop you is yourself.
  • Newtonian physics based 2D platformer
  • Simple but hard controls
  • Increasingly difficult challenges
  • Retro pixel art style
  • Sensitive Gyroscopes

Play as a probe sent to Europa as you make your way home through hazardous ice caves. One mistake can send you back to the beginning! Manage your linear and angular momentum as even the slightest bump can make you lose control. Avoid obstacles like giant snowballs and gravity-wells while collecting terminals. Escape the Ice caves and return to earth!

✦ AI summary

First Law excels as a jetpack-based foddian game with solid mechanics that players praise as some of the best in its genre, though the main campaign is notably short with a hidden level that extends replayability. The lack of native controller support is a minor inconvenience since Steam's controller configuration can work around it, but the punishing fall sequences—particularly one that locks players out for 83 seconds—create frustrating dead time that detracts from an otherwise engaging experience.

First law is a short foddian game with jetpack gameplay. Gameplay wise, it is probably one of the best jetpack foddian game i have played yet. However, the main game is pretty short but there is a secret level to find according to the achievement(i haven't found it so i duuno how long or hard it is). It doesn't have controller support but you can use steam controller setting to make it work which is what i did There is two punishing fall, and my only bit of negative issue is that one of these fall took 83 second before being able to play again which was really annoying to just not do anything.
