As a sentient magnet, enslaved in a factory, you have two options: work or be terminated!
However, not all magnets are born to work. Some dream of freedom and choose to rebel.
There’s a whole wide world waiting just outside those factory doors… you must remain positive!
Flux8 is a puzzle platformer, based around the polarity of magnets and how they react to opposite and similar forces.
You play as two magnets named Newt and Tess. Navigate the factory floor, attracting and repelling at will to avoid your untimely demise.
Each level tests your understanding of magnetic forces to navigate and dodge the deadly working environment as you head for freedom.
Collect floppy discs throughout your escape to customize Newt and Tess with a range of fashionable accessories.
Work alone or team up with a friend to earn your freedom, across both individual and co-op campaigns.
Create your very own levels with our built in level editor. The simple to learn editor gives you the freedom to express and share your creativity with the world via the Steam Workshop!

2/5 Magnet Mechanic is neat but the platforming feels off and in coop we had to reset or cheesed through the level more than once.2 found this helpful

Nice
Very fun puzzle game that likens to a similar puzzle structure as Portal 2. While this seems like a weird comparison with a lack of portals in this game, it just gives off that sort of feel. The puzzles are fresh and working with the magnetic fields of objects, lifts, and the player to create unique puzzles. Acid pits, electric fields, and your own stupidity are your main obstacles. There is a co-op mode but I haven't quite gotten around to seeing how that quite works. So far, the game is a pleasure to play and feels really unique compared to other puzzle games I've played.
Is it a great game, must-buy platformer? No, even for the low price there are better on the market. Does it guarantee a fun experience while you play? Absolutely, I've played it in one go. Does it give a lot of value for money? Kinda - I got mine from an old Yogscast HumbleBundle, and definitely worth that. Full price? No, it's too short I recommend because I had a fun time with it but if you're on the fence on buying this or not, wait for a sale.
Very fun game with fun levels, the right amount of difficulty and the right amount of variation and easy level editor (but not many community levels are made) 1 achievement is bugged tho and the devs don't respond to this problem. Please let me now if you know how to get the floppy disc achievement
