The raptors have feathers, and that's cool. This is a pretty short game. Without dying you could probably finish it within an hour. There are some secrets/extra weapons you can find by going off of the normal path but you don't really need them. Dinosaur AI is wonky, from the land of jank. Sometimes they appear suddenly on top of you and kill you within one or two hits. That's ok, they're dinosaurs. Level design is mostly boxy corridors with little detail. Guns do what guns do. The inventory is limited and mostly an annoying factor that serves as a slight reason to be tactical about what you cram into your pockets. The human AI is dumber than the dinosaurs. Performance is fine most of the time, though the warehouse level seems to be terribly optimized. Voices are too low but the 80s style vibe to it makes it quite alright. In the end this oozes the same kind of enjoyment you get out of watching a B movie. It's the Carnosaur to Jurassic Park. It's arguable if one might find this to be a good experience or not, but it is chock-full of cool moments.

6-13-26 Game is really good. Fossilfuel 3 demo came out and I had no idea this dev was so good. I found Fossilfuel 1 on my computer and quickly had to find 2, and other games by this dev. Top quality and good controls and gameplay is inspiring. Game is well done.

Love this game for its scary style and dinosaurs but boy can it be really Funny by accident really enjoyed it streamed 1 & 2 recently and going to stream ff3 demo looking Forward to it Keep making Dino shooters

Unfortunately, though I was able to finish the game, I can't really recommend it as a game because there are a lot of glaring issues with balance, and it is a performance mess. As a fun 90min exercise, I would recommend, but only for people chasing the vibe it offers. It works better as a very rough proof of concept. You aren't really running around hunting dinosaurs. It's more like a few set pieces where dinos jump out and scare the piss out of you while you wildly fire your gun and hope to drop a raptor before its lightspeed attacks take you out. On normal difficulty, one swipe takes down 50% of your health. It's brutal. The idea is fun if you're a dino-horror fan, but it's way to rough to be considered finished, I think. Considering it is $20 and takes 90min to beat (the extra hour of my playtime was replaying the very opening sequence before you can even defend yourself and eventually dropping the difficulty), I just don't recommend it. A fun survival horror game. Good gameplay and a storyline. If you like survival horror and jurassic park vibes, definitely buy it. The only negative thing is you can't get all secret weapons, I searched in the game, eventually online, but I can't find the code for one secret weapon. A bit frustrating but otherwise a fun to play game. *Sounds 8/10 *Gameplay 8.5/10 *Graphics 7.5/10 *Old school horror vibes 7.5/10
