FROSTBITE: Deadly Climate

Incredibly good horror game! Not the scariest, but the atmosphere is good and the gameplay is great! If you like Resident Evil, this game reminds of it a little.

Short little spooky, puzzle game. The environment is very reminiscent of The Thing. Had a nice time. Achievements are easy to get, will prob take at least 2 playthroughs to get them all. I had some crashing issues around 1-2 minutes after loading in, but I forget how I fixed it. I think I tried playing without wifi?

Seeing this game I did unfortunately judge a book by it's cover, but after playing I was very pleasantly surprised. As a big fan of "The Thing" by John Carpenter I enjoyed the story and themes. Highly recommend it as a free game that is relatively quick. Even I, as a big idiot, finished it around only an hour.

nice entertainment for an hour or two. EDIT: I completed the game on Fedora 44 (Linux).

Frostbite: Deadly Climate has no business being this good for a free game. I went in expecting a small, forgettable indie horror project and ended up finding a genuinely enjoyable survival horror experience. The atmosphere is solid, the snowy setting works surprisingly well, and it does a lot more with its budget than some paid games manage. it is rough around the edges in places, but for something that costs absolutely nothing, it's hard to complain. One of those rare free games that actually feels worth your time. 8/10, proof that sometimes the best price tag is no price tag at all.

Game crashes in under a minute. Developer has abandoned the game and neglected those who want to play it. You would need to be using a computer that hasn't been updated for 10 years to run this.
