This game went from niche but good in Nioh 1, to bigger and better in Nioh 2. It immediately went back down to zero with this release, this is by far not even close the worst Nioh release we've had by several iterations. From the multiplayer aspects to just about every combat aspect, it felt less, it felt worse, it even felt more broken than normal in terms of net code and co-op functionality. I genuinely hope we never see another Nioh game again. TLDR: Play literally any other Nioh, the only aspect they added was a satisfying parry sound in samurai form which is honestly like middling in terms of effectiveness. PS: Every single game is ruined by open world.

this is kind of just a 'fart in the wind' rant more than a review but it comes from like a place of geuine love from playing 1 and 2 and how long we waited for this game. and the first point sadly everyones sick of hearing but, theres alot of heated disscusion about this games preformence and people sayhing ''well my pc runs this fine, get a new cpu and/or gpu''. but fo rme personally, this game, for the first time, pushed me to get a new cpu when i was 20% into the game. because how horribly it ran in the open worlds. no game in my whole libray has ever 'pushed me' into that. i didnt Need to upgrade my 3060. i just Wanted to. 2077 was fine, stalker 2 was rough but it was a stable roughness at least. what ever is going on with this game is not somthing you can just stomach though at 45fps. its so beyond that and inconsistent and hitches and its upsetting. but even after the cpu upgrade it wasnt enough. and all for what? the game doesnt look that much better then 2. and half the reason it looks worse is they just HAD to do some kinda real time ambent lighting even tho the sun doesnt seems to move in open areas at all. and its so beyound noisy looking, mainly because you Have to ru…

As big of a fan of NioH 2 as I was (clocking a good 250 or so hours), this game just ain't it. It's pretty blatant that whatever engine this game runs on (I think it's called Katana or something) just isn't made to handle a truly open world like this game offers, and now I can see what people meant when the last 2 releases from ole Koei Tecmo were very performance heavy and generally unoptimized for mid-range PCs. It's a shame too as I kinda can't run this game very well, so I have to sacrifice visual fidelity to make the game run at a consistently playable FPS. If there's one thing I like in my games, it's decent visuals, and I'm usually not a fan of having to sacrifice those visuals to a substantial degree like this, at some points I was reaching 20fps in especially dense areas :\ I did want to finish this game, in fact I did get it a day after launch, but I feel I may have jumped the gun thinking it'd be more of NioH 2, man was I wrong. Don't get me wrong, the open world is a pretty cool idea, it's a series of pretty large sprawling levels that change with each era you travel to, similar to the chapters in NioH and NioH 2, and the art direction from both levels I played (b…

I was skeptical about Nioh 3, because I couldn't have my Yokai Form/Devil Trigger. But they basically made something in between what was in Nioh 1 and 2, and it happened to be not that bad. They basically mixed-mashed old ideas and what was working with giving more options here and there, more mobility, dedicated jump button for air combos, separate Quick-Fast Dodger Ninja Style if you're DEX FlАlG (complimentary), or a bit slower but hard hitting parry god samurai style if you're STR BOSS. In the end Nioh 3 is very fun to play. Unfortunately, some weapon movesets suffered in Ninja Style as there's a lot of moves left from old games, but you can't use them, because there are only 2 specific slots. Besides, as it's always been with KOEI TECMO games, and there is no budget for proper optimization, so we have super high quality models where you can see every pore on character's face, but everything else is kinda ass. In current state strong 8/10 (-2 points for optimization and other subjective things. Will be changed, when all DLC's will come out, because this is when Nioh's actually feel finished)

I am not sure what to say about this game considering what reviews i was first reading: Most comments were negative. This game implements whatever the previous niohs had, mostly is like Nioh 2 with boosted features. Some repetitiveness with some bosses from nioh 1 and 2 you will find, Neverthelesess i believe till this point the story is good enough, personally i preffered nioh's 1 story from 2 so 3's is already better. The maps till now are huge enough to spend your time well, it gets frustrating here and then. More controllers than nioh 2. Graphics are good. I had little problem with HDR OLED settings/view so i downloaded a mod to fix it. It's not like it's integrated HDR is so bad, but the mod helps more. I saw some coments about the perfomance of the game. I am not sure if it's a thing, but tbh with myself i have very good rig so i am not one to talk probably.
