Fureraba ~Friend to Lover~ was one of my first visual novels. Years later, it still holds up quite well. This is a slice-of-life story about a guy who really wants to get a girlfriend. You have four girls to choose from, and they're all pretty likeable, so you should have a good experience no matter who you choose. Because this is slice-of-life, there's not much to say, really. My only real gripe is that the "conversation minigame", which you'll need to get on a heroine route, is quite time-consuming and may require a guide or lots of save-reloading. I would also like to mention that Smee, the developer of this VN, has a unique humor style. The best way to describe it is "constant random humor out of nowhere". It doesn't happen too often in this VN, so you should still enjoy it even if you don't like the humor style, but it's a good litmus test to see if you'd like to read more Smee VNs, or try something else.
