About Future Futures - Command Z
Command Z is an exhibition realized by Michael Ziga; an experience viewed from the perspective of our successors, reflecting back on humanity from a distant future, as we now observe our predecessors. These works imagine the development of our devices and their effects on the evolution of humanity.
Virtual sculptures in the galleries, produced using 3D scanning and digital sculpting techniques, are backed by images generated during the scanning process. 3D soundscapes - composed by Palmer Foote, Jimmy Quinn, Connor Hanwick, Olivia Harris, and Peter Toh - complement the installations, propelling the viewer through the virtual spaces.

Future Futures - Command Z is a free VR experience. It worked on my HTC Vive and Index system, looked ok, played ok, sounded ok. Has 8 studios, the seventh one has the viewer moving on rails through several rooms, might cause motion sickness. All modern digital art. Has teleport movement. Try it, if you like art.2 found this helpful
Future Futures - Command Z is not a game. Games contain meaningful gamelike interaction and game loops, which are absent in this software. Instead of being a game, Future Futures - Command Z is a software application that is another godawful "art gallery". Are art galleries games? No, no they are not. This crap software is a badly made virtual experience where you can look at art from various art school dropouts who were so bad at art that local art galleries had to take out restraining orders, so they were left with only two choices... go back to getting my order wrong at McDonalds, or paying $100 to publish godawful "art" on Steam as if it was a game. Guess what they chose! For those unfamiliar with what actually makes something a game, a "game loop" describes the interaction and feedback a gamer has when playing a game. Tetris, for example, has a game loop where a random block appears, the gamer interacts with the block to position it, and then the game decides if that finishes a row or not, increases the players score if any rows were completed, then gives the gamer another block to position. Counter-Strike has a game loop where a player seeks another player, tests the…1 found this helpful
"Future Futures - Command Z" предлагает глубокую стратегию и увлекательную историю, где игроку нужно управлять станцией в будущем. Графика и атмосфера игры создают плавное впечатление, но некоторые механики могут быть избыточны. К сожалению, уровень сложности иногда кажется слишком высоким, а выборы не всегда приводят к ожидаемым результатам. Тем не менее, игра выделяется качественным сюжетом и разнообразием миссий. Для любителей стратегий это值得一试, но с осторожностью.
Really neat art tour with some interesting concepts for further thinking... this needs some recognition.
