Genokids is a satisfying character action game with snappy, rewarding combat that draws comparisons to Devil May Cry and The World Ends with You, featuring an engaging Flow System and stylish presentation that players find immediately engaging. While the core gameplay and character variety are praised, some players note minor friction points including occasional level design clarity issues and a lock-on system that feels clunky, plus occasional character mobility limitations that can feel restrictive in specific situations.
I've followed Genokids for ~2+ years now and I'm glad this game finally saw the light of day. I love the art style and the combat feels incredibly smooth. I'm not typically a fan of games of this genre, but the art style and combat had me finishing all of Act 1 in a day. Fun times!1 found this helpful

Awesome so far, can't wait for the rest of the game to come out .
Tag-fighter DMC on crack.
this game is so snappy and satisfying and reminds me of neo the world ends with you. Easy to get into and has a lot of depth excited to see where it goes!
Very fun very challenging when you get a very good grasp of the combos it’s very magical. My only real complaint is that I kind of wish that red at least moved a little bit more forward, half the times when I switch into him thinking I could reach his range is just so short without a dash I do get that the game prioritize dashing a little bit, but man nothing feels disappointing when I charge up an attack on red only for him to not even move a single inch maybe I’m missing the combo, but if there was anything I would complain about it would be that and maybe sometimes the level design doesn’t exactly tell me where to go correctly and infamous example is in chapter 3, where I kind of felt stuck inside a building for way too long for what was supposed to be very simple platforming
