Glorgo's Microplastics Mine

??? i beat the game in less than 30 minutes. no endless mode, no prestige, no gameplay other than what could be ascribed to as a tutorial if this were literally any other game. i was not able to mine everything, nor was i able to buy all the upgrades before i was forced into the credits. so that was annoying. i love the visuals, i love the voice acting, i love the concept. its just supremely lacking in content. i hope the dev continues to update and add onto this game because you really have a gem here, its just.. in dire need of tumbling, polishing, and cutting.

Game is extremely short, can finish it in like 20 minutes

Overall a fun game with great art. I might be a little bias because it's in one of my favorite game genres. My only issue is that it doesn't seem to save. Either this was a me issue, or the game is meant to be completed in one sitting. Either way, fun game that could definitely use more content 7/10.

Glorgo's Microplastics Mine is a really weird little game, and I mean that in a good way. I am basically stuck working as a middle manager in an alien mine while Glorgo, my completely unreasonable boss, expects me to keep the operation making money. My miners head down into the mine and bring back microplastics while I buy upgrades, expand the workforce and try to keep everything running. The whole thing has a funny Y2K look to it, but there is also something quite dark underneath all the colourful nonsense. The mining loop is simple but I found it pretty easy to get into. I hire more miners, improve their efficiency and keep pushing deeper into the mine to find more valuable resources. I am mostly watching the operation build itself up rather than directly controlling every miner, so it has that idle game feeling without being completely hands off. I like seeing the mine get busier as I add more workers and upgrades, and there is a nice little sense of progression when I finally reach deeper areas that were out of reach earlier. The plasticbeasts are what give the game a bit more personality. As I dig further down I start finding creatures that clearly do not belong in an ordina…

This is a short but very fun little idler letting you become the microplastic king! 7.9/10
