Good Guy Card

Lucky me gets to write the first English review (in almost 10 years since launch) for Good Guy Card, which is not a game. Good Guy Card (aka 那些年,我们一起收到的好人卡) is a craptastic non-English VN that was slapped together with a VN construction kit even worse than the cancer that is Ren'Py. It's a "romance" e-book of the worst kind involving some dweeb who goes to university. There's no English translation, but don't worry, the language of bad games (and non-games) is universal. E-books (artfully described as "visual novels" by terrible writers whose work couldn't actually pass as a proper book) are not the same things as video games. They're just badly written books where you have to click through every badly written sentence to try progress through the literary nightmare. And yes, they are badly written. How do I know? Let's face it, paying $100 to list an E-book on Steam as a game, even knowing that it isn't, surely can't be plan-A if your goal is to get on the NYT best sellers list. Игра "Good Guy Card" — это лаконичная карточная стратегия с моральными дилеммами. Простой геймплей: выбираешь действия, влияющие на сюжет, и сталкиваешься с последствиями. Интересно, как решения меняют отношения с персонажами. Графика минималистична, но стильна. Звук — спокойный, добавляет атмосферы. Минус: сценариев немного, быстро наскучивает. Подойдёт для коротких сессий и любителей головоломок.
