With bloodshed, the enemies of Sweden are now concluding an attack alliance. Russia, Denmark, and Saxony-Poland are waiting to attack the Swedish borders. The new fifteen-year-old King, Carolus XII stands alone with the fate of the kingdom in his hands.
In Great Battles of Carolus XII, the player will experience battles such as:
- The Battle of PΓΌhhajoggi 1700
- The Battle of Narva 1700
- Crossing of the DΓΌna 1701
- The Battle of Gemauerthof 1705
- The Battle of Fraustadt 1706
- The Siege of Veprik 1709
The infantry, cavalry, and artillery of the army deal different amounts of damage to each other. Obstacles such as chevaux de frise protect the defending army from cavalry. Walls and wagons also protect them against artillery and musket fire.
Infantry can, unlike cavalry, walk over any obstacle as long as there aren't any enemies left on the other side. Cavalry can only ride over a few randomly selected obstacles. Infantry can not always melee attack a unit that is protected by wagons. However, they can always fire at these protected units.
Outnumbered units that have suffered heavy losses often surrender. Repeated attacks and encirclements of enemy units are very effective. Watch the tutorial above to learn more about how our game works.

It pains me a bit to write this because historic war games are certainly my thing ,normally,but I can not get much fun or satisfaction playing "Great Battles of Carolus x11"...The Dev clearly cares about the game and it's not expensive so those are both pluses but the lack of terrain means there is no cover. No sneaking up behind that handy hill est la Frederick the Great in this game. Pretty hard to tell who is who and it's awkward to move your troops around. So, sorry, not recommended as of 14/08/2022 perhaps it may be better in the future..7 found this helpful
A gorgeous, stylized wargame that was apparently made with heart and love for to your business. Beautiful Swedish language, which I, unfortunately, I can only appreciate the melodic sound. But I can, as a understanding Russian language Ukrainian, appreciate the Russian language, which is well recreated here. Several leaders, troop types, lots of battles, intuitive options in battle. All this makes the game unique and entertaining. I hope that I can allocate enough time here to immerse myself in the atmosphere of battles and try my hand. I feel bad because the game is great 18th century warfare and good looking however it is unplayable; the game freeze every time I did play the first battle of the campaign. I tried to change the very few settings but no success. Its a shame...However the dev is very friendly and will eventually update the game to fix issues and improve the game.1 found this helpful

There is a bug where i get stuck on a unit and cant deselect it please fix it. I also forgot to add the screen fully freezes and it stops my campaign.
