About Conquer: Napoleonic Wars

1812. Napoleon's empire is at it's largest. Lead a country from the era in this turn-based strategy game. Buy soldiers, build fortifications, alliance yourself with your enemies' enemy, attack, and conquer. This indie game's main objective is to teach those new to 4x strategy games, with a simplistic approach. *Disclaimer, this game is made by a teenager for a school project. ✦ AI summary

Players appreciate this free strategy game as a solid passion project with good music and engaging gameplay mechanics, despite acknowledging various bugs that can impact late-game progression. While some found the controls unintuitive initially, most are forgiving of technical issues given it was created by a small team, though end-game functionality problems do limit long-term playability for some.

Eulogy for the Unseen War: On the Quiet Majesty of 'Conquer: Napoleonic Wars' While other strategy games build cathedrals of light, this one cultivates a secret garden in the shadows. Where Civilization VI offers the polished marble of history, a grand opera performed by digital diplomats in 4K resolution, and Total War delivers the visceral thunder of thousands of pixels clashing on a photorealistic field, Conquer: Napoleonic Wars invites you to a different kind of glory. It is not a spectacle, but a séance. This is not a game obsessed with rendering every thread on a marshal’s epaulet. Instead, it presents its armies as stark numerals on a map that resembles a well-loved parchment, stained with the ghost of coffee and the urgency of past decisions. The chaos of Austerlitz is distilled into the pure, crystalline language of supply lines and morale percentages. There are no glorified death animations, only the solemn, ticking cadence of the end-turn button—a metronome counting the beats of an empire’s heart. The genius of this creation by the enigmatic Estuego Games lies in its radical subtraction. It is a strategic essence, an extract. It whispers that true grandeur is not foun…

Sadly unplayable because you can't attack in end-Game. But nice Idea just to buggy to finish a game started.

It was kind of buggy but it was free and made by one person. Music is good and it was overall a good game to test and pass the time.
