This is quite a fun and challenging game and worth the money at full price if you like this sort of game. Getting it now on sale until January 4th 2024 for 40% off is a steal. Buy this version, not the "Free" version (which is a pay to win money grab). This game is quite challenging because you must figure out what to spend your meager gold winnings after you successfully beat each scenario. Should you heal your existing troops, buy a new general, upgrade an existing general, but a new troop, or upgrade an existing one, add perks to your general or troops, or invest in technology (upgrades for the troops that you can buy during scenarios. Besides you need to organize your legion(s). As it turns out, you need to do all of the above. As the enemy levels up with you and is at times even stronger than your troops, you need to invest in technology. The farthest I have gotten is to Cartagena during the Punic War series of battles against Carthage. There are only 6 save slots, so use them judiciously, but that allows you to re-fight battles, which is a good thing. But eventually you will get into a bottleneck because you spent gold unwisely and went down the wrong path building your arm…7 found this helpful
Broken after 3 acts, as game only freezes and is unplayable beginning with chapter 4.1, support seems to have vanished except for the money grab phone app version. If you do get this version, you'll most likely want to turn the voices of the units down or off, annoyingly repetitive. Not worth the purchase for a partial game.6 found this helpful
My game suddenly crashed, and computer restarted. Since then, the game will not start any new campaigns, it is effectively broken, and useless. I have unloaded it and re-uploaded it on my computer and nothing fixes it. completely broken.6 found this helpful
I like the fact that there are RPG elements but this game isn't fun as either a hardcore wargame, or an srpg style game, and the rpg elements are pretty boring anyway3 found this helpful
